Bramble Brioche Shawl Pattern by Pru Raymond - Digital Knitting Pattern Kit

This product is a digital knitting pattern designed by Pru Raymond.

Bramble is an unconventional but versatile shaped shawl worked in one and two colour brioche. Its construction begins with two ‘wings’, e a c h knit from the tip in two colour brioche with icord edge. The wings are then joined to form a rectangular panel, the texture of which is designed to evoke the light through wild bramble branches, transitioning into the dark undergrowth in the final one colour brioche section. Berry-like bobbles punctuate the cast off edge.

Materials

Yarn
Yarn is based on 100% Superwash Merino; 400 m per 100 g / 437 yards per 3.5 oz). 
Main Colour (MC): 1 x mid-toned solid/ semi-solid coloured yarn.
Contrast Colour (CC1): 1 x speckled/ painterly hand dyed yarn.
Contrast Colour (CC2): 1 x dark solid/ semi-solid coloured yarn.

Knitting needles
3.25 mm / US 3 interchangeable knitting needle tips
35 cm/ 14” Cord
55 cm / 22” Cord
1 set End Stoppers

Notions
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Optional: 2 mm / US 0 crochet hook to assist working bobbles.

Gauge
24 sts x 27 rows= 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” when blocked.

NOTE: At the time of check out please advise which colourways and base you would like in the 4ply/fingering range. We recommend the Merino or Merino/Nylon blends for this pattern.
